Pictures at The Beach

A few months ago I went to the beach for my very first time. My nanny took me to see the Sand Castle Festival that was going on at Tybee Beach. Here's a picture of me testing out the sand for the first time.

7 Months-old!

Yesterday was my 7 month birthday. I'm really growing a lot and can sit up all by myself. I'm starting to recognize unfamiliar faces and really like to cling to the ones I know. I'm very social and love to smile and laugh at people, just as long as someone I know is holding me. I love to go swimming and to bounce in my new bouncy chair. I've got my first tooth and I'm eating all kinds of mushed up foods! I still love music and I love to pat-pat-pat on anything I can get my hands on.

This weekend my first tooth finally showed up!! It's been a long time coming but everyone's glad that it made it's first appearance.

Grandma and Papa Come to Town

This past week my Grandma and Papa came all the way from New York to visit me. When I see people that I haven't seen for a while its takes time for me to get used to them. I gave Grandma a rough time for a while but we still had lots of fun together. We played ball and we went to the pool. I was so charming and smiled and laughed for Grandma and Papa. When Papa fell asleep I tried to get his attention by blowing bubbles in his direction.

Father's Day

This weekend was Father's Day. My dad had to work all day so we missed celebrating. I love to play with my dad. He's a really funny guy. He makes me laugh, he's my favorite person to play with.

Katie Growing Up So Fast!

I've been growing so much and learning so many things. Here are some recent events and stories.

* Last week I went sight seeing a few times with my nanny and her family who were visiting from out of town. We explored the historic district, walked on River Street, and went to Tybee Island. It was so hot out but I was an angel the entire time. My nanny's mother-in-law couldn't stop remarking what a good baby I am.

* Two weeks ago I had my first play date with a baby boy named Brady who's a month older than I am. I had a lot of fun playing with him. At first we were both really shy and hid our faces but we warmed up to each other after a while. We liked just looking at each other and I was really good at sharing my toys with him. He liked to pat my head and I liked to roll over into him.

* I love to go to the pool with my mom! We go to the pool almost every evening. I like to sit in the water and splash and swirl my feet. It's so nice after these long, hot days we've been having.

* My newest trick I learned is how to sit up! I'm getting really strong, I only topple over every now and then. When I get tired I just slowly lower my head forward and rest it on the ground for a while. When I'm refreshed I sit back up again!

* I'm eating all kinds of new foods and I'm really enjoying being a big girl. I've tried squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, and I just started eating fruits like pears! I love to eat and I'm very good at it!

* I'm also a very happy girl. Yesterday I was getting a little tired and ready for my nap but still in a good mood. I was swinging in my swing and I laughed for 15 minutes solid before I started to get too tired. I just thought everything was so funny and let out big belly laughs! My dad could even hear me upstairs!
