Future Dr Katie Marshall

When I was born one of my parents doctor friends gave me this set of pink scrubs. They have "Dr Katie" embroidered on them. Here I am playing with my mom's stethoscope and looking so cute and doctor-like.

8 months-old!

Today is my 8 month birthday! I am growing so fast and I'm so excited about exploring my world! I am learning to crawl but I haven't quite got it down yet. Normally when mom or dad puts me on my belly to crawl I just roll back over onto my back. I love to roll and can get around the room quite well just by rolling. I also love my jumping bean chair. I like to watch my educational baby shows while I jump in my chair. Although I always make a fuss when I first get in my highchair, I love to eat. I like to eat fruits, vegetables, grains, formula, and biter biscuits. I have two teeth and I like to chew on anything I can get my hands on. I always like to pat and kick everything within my reach, I'm never still! I love to play with my mom and dad, they're my favorite people. I'm learning to wave and I can pass a ball back and forth to you when I play! I love to scream and I can say dadada over and over!I'm very happy and still such a good baby!

Today my dad was at the grocery store and decided that I was ready to eat cookies so he brought me some home. Here I am making a huge soggy cookie mess. I had a great time and enjoyed gnawing on my cookie!

My First Highchair

Today I got my first, new highchair! I was a little upset when I was first put in my highchair but when I realized that food was coming I settled right in. I liked smacking my hands on the big tray. The thing that I don't like about my highchair is that I can't suck on my toes while I'm in it. I think that is also my nanny's favorite part of the new highchair.

This is a picture of me pre-highchair. I like to bite my spoon with the two new teeth that I recently grew.

Party Animal

The week we got home from Texas my mom had to work a 12-9 shift so my nanny stayed late. On the first two nights I went to bed really early, probably because I was so tired from my trip. On the last night my mom came home at 9pm to find me still awake and hanging out with the big kids. Here's a picture of me with my nanny Victoria and her husband John.

Adventures With a German Opera Singer

This past weekend I went with my parents to Ashville, North Carolina. My mom went to a CME conference and my dad and I played while she was gone. One of the nights my parents went out and left me with one of the hotel's babysitters. It was my very first time having a babysitter other than my nanny. I gave her a little bit of a hard time but mostly I was mesmerized by her opera singing. She was from Germany and in her younger days she sang opera. So we listened to music together and she documented which composer I liked best. She says my favorite is Devorjak. She also sang for me and my dad could hear her all the way at the end of the hall.

A Trip to Texas

Two weeks ago I was in San Antonio, Texas with my mom at my grandparents ranch. We had so much fun visiting them, especially because all my cousins were there! I just love my cousins and I love my grandma and grandpa. But the best part of the trip was that I got to spend so much time with my mom! Another exciting event that happened while I was in Texas was the appearance of my second tooth!
